When I arrived home last Sunday evening I found the „BFB“ album in my letter box - a signed one, how nice! So yesterday I was swaying in and through and round in my office to the song „Bound for Bethlehem“ (I decided to have kind of a „Casual Monday“:-)), which is surely one of the greatest modern Christmas songs ever written (not exaggerating here)! It actually has the quality to be a „Christmas Classic/ Standard“ to be played every Christmas season from now on! Just great! And your singing on "O Holy Night" and “Little Drummer Boy” is by the way absolutely marvellous - !

Another song I got somehow stuck to since travelling over the last weekend and listening to it in infinite loop is the live-version of „Ivey´s Wall“ in the arrangement with the uilleann pipes - what a great piping part! This is just …. - woah, I am lost for words. `Still can recall the atmosphere of your solo-concerts a month ago by that and I can only say this kind of „celtic arrangement“ with pipes, violin etc. fits your songs perfectly overall, fits the slow songs as well as your rock-pieces in which you unpack your hot dirty rock-singer-voice ...To me it appears like THE ULTIMATE way of arranging your songs. L.O.V.E. it!

So I am seriously thinking about spending a nice weekend in Mid-February in Denmark - getting some really fresh air on the North Sea coast and some fresh amount of “Bruce live” again - yes, seems like a very good idea. `Think this will be my personal Christmas present to myself! For 2013, I am also looking forward to the Runrig gig “on the Loreley” in the beautiful Rhine area - hoping the audience will sing along as enthusiastic as in Oberhausen last week - especially “Every River” and “Hearts” were gorgeous (unfortunately we had seats quite far back - although of course that did not prevent me from standing, clapping and rattling with my jewellery : - )))

Best wishes for Christmas and a happy new year to you!
Nollaig chridheil agus bliadhna mhat ùr dhut!

Beate

(and thank you for still having this guestbook for people like me, who are not using “facebook”…!)

Hi Bruce, another great show in Oberhausen last night. Intoxicating mood on stage. But I'm really shocked about your note in terms of growing older together. Yes, I know about that of my own. But never thought it could be as bad as you could be aware of it in the dark. Have to think about saving my money for anti-aging and not for christmas ;))) Wish you lots of fun for the rest of the tour with the other boys, a safe travel home and a recreative rest of the year among your family. See you next time in Germany

...and brought a gift for the child ...
thank you Bruce, are you the fourth king of Bethlehem ...?
Cologne and the three kings with her gifts are a special story for us in KÖLN,you know the golden chest in the Don of Köln ? If not, you have to visit it next time in Köln .because your songs are more than gold and silver, they speak to us and bring a prayer for us to the ONE, unimportant, how he is called by you, me or everyone ...
And thank you for your expirience, singing -O Holy Nigt -doesn´t know it before and like it the best of the CD;
Some songs are known here in Germany as well as in Kanada,
1. Angels we have headr,
7. Go, tell...
10 . Little Drummer Boy...
so there are enought songs to sing with you and all owners of the new CD
-Bound for Bethlehem- all ower the world ...!!
Take care and see you in Oberhausen ..
What do you about singing Christian Soldier for us in the break .. ?
