Hi Bruce.
Great to have you back in Denmark in this Year of Flood and mud......
Hopefully it will clear up soon.
Do you know, at the moment 65 brave men and women are on their way from Denmark to Ireland in a full scale wikingship builded after the original ship, found on the bottom of Roskilde Fjord.
The Sea Stallion of Glendalough, is its name.

They digged it out and put the pieces together and then they builded a full scale copy, the same way and with the same tools as the old wikings had. It had taken four years to build this 30 m. long warship.
And now they are on their way, in an open boat, in all kinds of weather, the same way as the wikings did, from Denmark to Dublin passing Shetland and Orkney islands, down the rough coast of WestScotland, ending in Dublin in mid of**ust.
Why do i write all this?
Because its interesting and because your and Runrigs fantastic song In Scandinavia comes together in my head with the old and new wikings and carries me away to a place, where time doesnt exist, only the great feeling of despite time, nations and belongings, we are all human beings with the same longings, wishes and hopes for our lives.
Your great music is truly appreciated.
I wish you and Runrig a good tour in the autumn, take good care of yourselves.
Best wishes Annette.

The Granville Green show last night was incredible. You are a true entertainer. Two days at Stanfest, the kickoff concert for Granville Green and you still made yourself available to sign autographs and take pics with fans. Looking forward to catching some more of your shows. Take care and all the best.

Just to say, I think your voice is amazing! First heard you when you were opening for John McDermott and fell in love with your sound! I am now living in Scotland and brag all the time that the lead singer in Runrig is all Canadian!!!!!!!

Forgive me for asking this, but I'm hoping you could help me get a tune or two to your ears for consideration? Perhaps direct me onto the correct path?
Hey, you never know, eh?

Hey Bruce,
I just wanted to drop a line and tell you what a pleasure it was to meet you in Memphis. I was so honored to be co-host with you, as I have always looked up to you. One of the most memorable things from NAFA this year was seeing you onstage... it was absolutely beautiful. You are such an amazing musician, songwriter and person and I do hope we'll have the opportunity to play together sometime soon! Take care, and cheers! ('till next time)

You are on Stage with Nanci Griffith on Friday night in Canso.
My BRILLIANT IDEA is for you and Nanci to sing "From Clare to Here" as a duet. I'll let her know too!

I've been a big fan for a long time Bruce - you're definitely one of my favourite songwriters ever (along with Stan Rogers). I hope to see you live in concert soon. I also enjoyed the Storytellers series on CBC - will you be doing any more episodes?

Hello Bruce!
Itīs been quite a few yea**ince I saw you on TV for the first time. I think the programme was called "Celtic electric" and you performed a duet called The Water is Wide with the talented singer Heather Rankin. I was captured right away and that song turned out to be one of my all time favourites! I taped the programme and I have listened to it so many times since then! But unfortunately, one day my VHS-recorder went haywire and I was devastated to find that the videotape was torn to pieces!!!!
I really think you should record that one some day! Itīs so beautiful!
Is there any chance Iīll hear it if I buy tickets for your concert in Skive on august 9th.? Cause in that case I`ll be there for sure!!! :-) And Iīll be more than happy to sing it with you if thatīs what it takes!

At last I would just like to tell you that I really do enjoy listening to all of your music. I think youīre a very gifted songwriter.
Keep up the good work! All the best wishes from a young fan!

Hi Bruce,
I'm really relieved to read your explanation below - communication is (almost) everything and will keep your German fans patient until you play in Germany some day. A busy year for you, I suppose, so do take care and enjoy your solo and Runrig gigs. See you very soon in Hamburg, and later this year in Scotland, England and Germany.
Cheers, Shorty

Bruce,
thank you so much for your statement. Some things we better understand when you explain us how/why/when s.o.
YOU KNOW, that we respect you absolutely, love your music and support your music wheresoever and whenever (shirt with the Cape Breton-flag in Ballerup last year!!) We often travel to Denmark to see you playing solo. It`s very expensive for us to do that. Not all of your German fans are able to finance these activities. And sometimes when we get new tour dates only for Denmark it`s hard for us to bear. Hope you can understand this. But it`s ok, we`ll be patience further on.
When I take a look a your tour schedule I think it`s a hard year for you. So keep care for your voice, sold out houses and by the way have a lot of fun.
Cheers
Silke
