Hi Bruce,

I would just like to say what a wonderful concert the Wolverhampton date was. As usual, your voice is amazing, and the band, also as usual, turned in a top notch performance. You have brought Runrig into a new era with a degree of success and acceptance almost unheard of when a lead singer is replaced. The music is inspiring and uplifting. Long may it continue to be.

The music is just fantastic from day one.
I have seen Bruce in many venues over the years in concert. The new CD is fabulous. I work for a global company and have travelled alot through Europe. The friends abroad know that Bruce will be in Copenhagen with Runrig. They already knew him...hope to see Runrig as well..my preference to see Bruce at the Savoy...or now Massey Hall or Hamilton place. Or doing another song writer's circle..
Keep on doing what you do. Everything is good

Big fan,

Charley

Finally the dates for the first German tour in January are confirmed.
And of course our tickets are already ordered.
It's fantastic and I'm really looking forward to this.
Seems like 2008 will have a good start for us fans ;-)
But first I'm looking forward to seeing you with Runrig in November in Germany.
Let it rock, guys!
Best wishes
Andrea

Hello

Well I went to my first ever Runrig concert last night in Nottingham; i didn't know much about the band other than that we always played their music when we went on walking tours to Scotland when I was at university. I went to the concert for nostalgic reasons and it brought back as many good memories as i thought it would; your music is so passionate and atmospheric, it makes me think of wild places everytime. I had an 'argument' with my husband about whether you were the original lead singer; i thought you were but after a bit of research i discover that you joined the band in the 90s and have your solo career, which means a whole new world of music to investigate! I can't wait to find out more (but i hate it when my husband is right ;o)

Enjoy the rest of your UK tour,
Best wishes,
Jess

They hope to see you at StanFest next year - she'll have the chowder ready!
ps She thinks all of Runrig should come to visit.

I had already contacted Wendy that we (my husband Bill and I) really enjoyed the show at the Blue Olive in Saint John. We look at you from a completely parental perspective, and wish you well always, as big fans! We have some pictures we are going to go over and see if we can send them to you and also to Chris, who was a star in his own right at his own establishment that evening!

Hi Bruce,

First of all: Ceud Mile Taing for the VERY special concert in Drumnadrochit! Your interaction with the audience, the choice of the songs, your new version of some lyrics fitting the circumstances, your voice - never heard you live before -, it was marvellous!!! This is not enough compliments, I know, the other 5 were as stunning as you were, so Runrig Complete: you were GREAT!!!

But I have a request, or morely a beg:
My Scottish friend, living in the Netherlands and I love to play RR-songs (with help of the RR-songbook Flower of the West).
He plays guitar and electric guitar, I play the flute, whistle and a very little guitar.
WE WOULD LOVE TO PLAY "OCEAN ROAD", BUT WE DON'T HAVE THE CHORDS, nor the melody-notes.
Please will you share the chords with us? The album is worth playing it all, but Ocean Road is our absolute favourite!
Can't imagine you read all these messages, but I truly hope to hear from you!

(Tha mi ionnsachadh Gaidhlig)
Thig croch air an t-saoghal, ach mairidh gaol agus cel. Is toigh leam ur cel!
Bidh mi toilichte a'cluich Rathad a'Chuain!

Mran tang, Lisette

Hi Bruce - a big thank you for another excellent Song Writer's Circle. Great line-up - Ken Tobias was fantastic! You have a wonderful presence, sense of humor, and great interaction with both the audience, and your guests. Thank you for sharing your gift, and your evening!

Can't wait to see you in December (or sooner). Have a great weekend, and safe travels.
hugs
Denise :-)

Hi Andrea and Andrew,
please stop this discussion. Its not fair for both guys. They compare badly, because they are peerless, everyone in his very own and special way.

Hi everyone

Just have to leave a quick note regarding "nobody will ever take Donnie's place". As it happens I used to be a big Donnie fan in his time with the band, but I have so got over it all and he was brilliant while it lasted, sure. But now, after 9 years of Bruce as lead singer, just get over the past everyone and move on, I certainly have! So, Bruce you have my complete support and you have brought something fresh and energetic to the band that had been lacking in the later Donnie years. Thank you so much for making me and so many other fans happy. Don't take comments like these to heart. I don't live in the past but the present, and it is a fantastic one with Runrig in it as they are now, plus the added benefit of having your solo music to bring joy to my heart aswell. Lots and lots of love Swiss Andrea

Hi there Bruce,
Just a quick note to say that my friends and I really enjoyed the gig at Loch Ness despite the weather! Runrig really do get better all the time. I love the new album. You have brought so much to the band with your fantastic voice and outstanding charisma! I will see you with Runrig at Southampton and Basingstoke, England in a few weeks time, can't wait! PLEASE do come back in the new year for a solo tour as I have never had the pleasure of seeing you perform your own fantastic songs! You are brilliant, and dare I say rather pleasing for the eye, too!
Lots of Love Swiss fan living in England
