Hello Bruce. I'm wondering if we are related. My father's family is from New Waterford. My grandfather was Mark Goutro (or Goutreau, I'm not quite sure of the French,I think, spelling.) The spelling was changed somewhere along the way to Guthro, and at some point, due to handwritten clerical records, an error was made and my father Charles, and one of his brothers, Joe, ended up as Guthrie, while his other two brothers, George and Harvey remained Guthro. Mark's brother was Frank, who was a cartoonist. Frank, who remained in New Waterford was married to Margaret, a very talented woman who, in her later years was a songwriter. I believe she lived in Scotchtown after Frank's death, though I'm not clear about that being fact. Frank had other siblings - Emma, and, I think, Barbara, perhaps others. I'm trying to track the family ancestry. Can you tell me if we are related? You may call me at 978-658-4749. I remember Frank's wife, Emma, quite well. She came to visit for my parents' 45th wedding anniversary, with her daughter-in-law ( her name might have been Chris, or perhaps Evelyn, I can't remember - and stayed at our home in Wilmington, MA. Frank's son, who (I think) lives in Ontario called about 10 years ago to see if any of us were still living around here. He talked about making a trip here to visit, but I never heard from him since. I'd really like to get more info on my ancestors and family and hope that you know somebody who might be able to help me in my quest. Also, I'd like to share whatever info I get with my father's brother George, now 90, and the only one left - and with his 2 children, all of whom now live in Florida. Thanks for reading my letter, and for any recommendations or information you might be able to provide.

Bruce, I wonder what your plans for 2011 might be. If you asked me "Hey, what shall I do all the year? Sleep late, paint the house, mow the lawn?" Id say: "How about a new album???" Would be great, awesome, fantastic, ...!!!
Please let us know.
Cheers, Frauke

Your music touches the souls and hearts of us all and your music helped me through my difficult time last year with Tonsil Cancer.

You helped my little boys get their mummy back!!

Have a fantastic Christmas and New Year with your family and looking forward to your solo tour.

Hey Bruce
I hope you got home safely and timeously with all the travel chaos happening in UK at the moment! I was part of the audience for you and Runrig at Dunfermline and Barrowlands and was blown away by both concerts - Barrowlands was emotional to say the least but the mind blowing. I really hope I'll survive the next year without seeing you all.
I wish you and your family and very happy Christmas and a merry New Year
xx
